BMW cars‘s latest release is turning heads with its 2024 XM Label Red, a high-performance plug-in hybrid SUV that packs a punch with 738 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. This vehicle is the most potent M-badged BMW model to be driven on the street.

Unleash the Power

The XM Label Red‘s drivetrain comprises a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8 engine and an electric engine between the machine and the eight-speed motorized transmission. This hybrid powers a variable, rear-biased all-wheel-drive system that helps the vehicle reach 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. That’s 0.4 seconds quicker than the regular 644-hp XM model.

The car’s top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph but can be raised to 175 mph with the optional M Driver’s package. BMW also includes adaptive dampers, active anti-roll bars, an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential, and M compound brakes with fixed six-piston front calipers and floating single-piston rear clampers. A set of 23-inch wheels are standard, and 22-inch wheels can be swapped for free.

Sleek and Stylish

The 2024 BMW XM Label Red is not just about raw power. This electrified luxury SUV boasts a sleek design that will turn heads on the street. Its exterior features large 23-inch wheels and red exterior accents, with a unique stripe stretching along the flanks and up around the side windows. The inside of the vehicle also features red details, including on the dashboard HVAC vents and stitched surfaces throughout the cabin.

The BMW XM Label Red has an enormous, alien-like front end with red rings around its kidney grille. The exterior is adorned with red accents, including a stripe stretching along the car’s flanks and up around its side windows.

The XM Label Red has a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.9-inch touchscreen with iDrive 8.5 infotainment software, a head-up display, a three-dimensional headliner, and myriad M-specific controls. Customers can choose the option of a 1475-watt Bowers & Wilkins surround-sound system.

Electric Efficiency

BMW hasn’t released official fuel-economy estimates for the XM Label Red, but the company has stated that the SUV will have an estimated electric driving range of around 30 miles. The 19.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack under the floor can be fully replenished in three hours and 15 minutes with the 7.4-kW onboard charger.

Price and Availability

The 2024 BMW XM Label Red is a premium luxury car set to begin production at BMW’s Spartanburg, South Carolina plant in August. While pricing has not yet been officially released, we expect it to start around $186,000. Also, only 500 Label Red units will be offered with a BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black metallic paint finish, adding to the SUV’s exclusivity.

Conclusion

The 2024 BMW XM Label Red is an electrified, extroverted SUV with impressive power and performance. Its unique design and luxurious interior make it stand out from other M models. It is a testament to BMW’s commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering.
